Improving the Indoor Environment through an Indoor Green Curtain System

People are spending more and of their lives indoors, making thermal comfort air quality essential factors for health well-being. The use natural elements within indoor spaces can improve the environment quality, but also bring multiple well-being, psychological, cognitive, behavioral benefits due to its biophilic effect. Indoor vertical greenery strategy in buildings give these building occupants. In this study, a prototype living green curtain is assessed evaluate that may derive when used as shading device. analysis evaluated performance compared other two scenarios, no curtains (control module) external blind. Temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation were measured environment. Results indicate module was cooler by 0–4 °C than control during peak hours, difference even reached up 8 on hotter days. Due evapotranspiration effect, recorded highest daily average humidity 67%. This study demonstrates potential ability comfort.
